Materials Design at EHTIC

On 17 May 2024, EHTIC hosted a representative from Materials Design, Dr Brian Dron, commercial director. Materials Design is one of the world leaders in application software for large-scale modelling of designed materials for virtually all industry sectors.

The visit was related to the continuation of the idea of the Centre for Computational Science and Technology established at the Silesian University of Technology and the development of a programme for the joint development of new application solutions in the field of computational design of advanced functional materials and their experimental validation.

The representatives of Materials Design had the opportunity to get to know our centre, see the laboratories and discuss the research possibilities of the equipment stored there. During the visit, a number of potential areas for further collaboration were identified.
