Prof. Marek Gzik – the Best Employee of the Silesian University of Technology in the academic year 2021/2022
The award, granted annually by the Social Council of the Silesian University of Technology, was presented during the 78th Inauguration Ceremony of the University’s Academic Year. The award recognises prof. Gzik for his initiatives and actions taken to establish the European HealthTech Innovation Center.
For an idea that has materialised and the Centre is operating at the intersection of science, sport, technology, health and particularly medicine and rehabilitation. And especially for the fact that, because it operates, it will bear fruit soon” justified Jan Sarna, CEO of the Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development, on behalf of the Council.
“The award for the best employee of the Silesian University of Technology, which was granted to me by the Social Council of the Silesian University of Technology, is a great honour and distinction for me. I treat this award as an accolade for the entire biomedical engineering community. Without many people who have supported me for years, I would not have been able to achieve my successes. It is not only people at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, but since the beginning of my career I have experienced a lot of support from the City of Zabrze, in particular from the Mayor Małgorzata Mańka-Szulik. I am also grateful to Philips, with whom we have been able to organise an absolutely unique project such as EHTIC. I am grateful to the Social Council for the award, and to the Silesian University of Technology for all that I have been able to achieve. A number of my subsequent career promotions have been about working with people, about the Silesian University of Technology and the atmosphere we create together” commented prof. Marek Gzik.
Congratulations!!!!
