The simulated operating theater lab
Thanks to the laboratory setting, we are able to map the layout of practically any operating theater. Located in direct connection with the image navigation systems prototyping lab and the ultrasound lab, it forms the space capable for development of methods for supporting minimally invasive techniques in surgery.
The laboratory equipment includes a laparoscopic column, operating table, intraoperative ultrasound system (including a laparoscopic ultrasound transducer), a number of phantoms and a set of additional columns and screens. Thanks to the layout of the equipment and the size of the room, we are able to replicate the most layouts of the operating theaters.
