Cooperation with Wolverhampton University

Dr Michael Gerges, Associate Dean Recruitment and International from the University of Wolverhampton, UK, visited us at the end of May.

The visit was in connection with the cooperation agreement signed last year between the Silesian University of Technology and the British university, and the aim was to identify new areas for joint activities.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of Silesian University of Technology, in the persons of Deputy Deans Prof. Paweł Badura, Prof. Robert Michnik, Deputy Head of the Department of Biomechatronics, Prof. Wojciech Wolański, and Director of EHTIC, Prof. Marcin Kaczmarek. They were joined by Professor Marek Salamak from the Department of Civil Engineering at Silesia University of Technology, who initiated cooperation with the British university in the area of joint scientific publishing.

During the meeting we had the opportunity to get to know the structure and activities of the University of Wolverhampton and to present the resources of the Faculty and EHTIC, thus identifying potential areas and opportunities for joint activities at various levels. The exchange of experiences and good practices resulted in new inspirations for development.
