XII Scientific Conference “Personalised treatment of malformations and conditions in children”

On the 16th and 17th of June, the EHTIC hosted a group of eminent doctors, specialists in the treatment of developmental defects and conditions in children, and in particular in thoracic reconstructive surgery.

It was the 12th scientific meeting on this topic, organised this year within the framework of the Academy of Paediatrics on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System for Children in Chorzów.

As part of the meeting, we had the pleasure not only of participating in interesting sessions and lectures, but also of presenting our research and development infrastructure, which is used to develop technologies applicable to this particular area of surgery, among others.

The Department has been working closely with the Silesian University of Technology for many years, and the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology has made a significant contribution to the development of thoracic reconstruction procedures using a bone stabiliser patented by our University.

The event was organised by the Silesian University of Technology and the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System for Children in Chorzów.
